What makes entrepreneurs different
Entrepreneurs are a unique breed of people. Some know they are meant to be a boss babe while others mistakenly fall into business ownership and crush it.
While some people sit and dream of being their own boss, creating their own business, those in the thick of entrepreneurship give up a lot to make their dreams a reality.
The most successful boss babes have something that not everyone does and that’s why not everyone understandS their choices- entrepreneurial mindset.
They see the value, the vision and they have the belief.
Without any of that, as a business owner, you’ll have a difficult road ahead.
Before anything else an entrepreneur understands that you must take risks in order to succeed.
They also know that there is no such thing as “get rich quick” and if that’s your idea of being in business, I’m going to save you tons of time and tell you right now, business isn’t for you.
There’s many positives in business like income, freedom and enjoyment but you better be ready to work for it, because it’s not going to happen overnight.
If you’re not ready to put the time in then there is no use of starting in the first place because business takes time. It’s all about the compound effect and if you haven’t read that book by Darren Hardy yet, I highly recommend it.
Entrepreneurs go the business route for many reasons. To increase their income, to make their own hours which creates freedom or just because they want to feel challenged, they want something of their own.
The only way to create change in your life, in your circumstances or situation is to invest.
It takes investing yourself and your money.
You must invest money to make money, there’s no way around it.
Whether you’re investing over $40,000 like I did 7 years ago to open my own dental hygiene clinic,
Or you’re investing $500 to open your own online active wear boutique and work from home, like I’ve recently done.
You must invest. There’s no free ride.
Here are some other key traits that will help you succeed in business.
Discipline & consistency wins every time
Remember when I said success doesn’t happen overnight?
This is where discipline and consistency comes into play.
You’re going to have to do what most people won’t do so that you can live a life that most people don’t.
You’re going to have to be ridiculously consistent.
You’re going to have to show up everyday even when you don’t think it’s working or you get no likes or comments on your posts.
Keep showing up. If you treat your business like a 6 figure business it will start to pay accordingly.
Be okay with being different
This is a big one.
I’m going to tell you right now that you’re going to run into people who don’t understand your path.
There will be internet trolls and people who voice their opinions quite freely.
Don’t stoop to their level. Don’t let small minds distract you.
At first they’ll ask you why you’re doing what you do and when they see your success they’ll ask you how.
Like I said before. There’s a reason not everyone is in business. Not everyone is lucky enough to have the entrepreneurial mindset. You are very lucky!
However with this journey there will be amazing people who love to see you succeed and cheer you on.
Surround yourself with more people like that because they are out there.
There are women out there that will fix your crown, just like you’d fix theirs!
Challenges are stepping stones to greatness
Setbacks, challenges and obstacles are painfully common elements of entrepreneurship.
They are not a reason to quit. They are a reason to grow and strengthen you.
As an entrepreneur you’ll encounter many challenges and you can’t afford to let a negative mindset get in the way.
Instead view challenges as opportunities.
Opportunities to learn and grow.
Being in business is a wild ride but I wouldn’t change a thing and if you have the entrepreneurial spirit, I know you can relate.
Rewarding beyond measure.
